MAS reduces number of routes served until December

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has recently announced that it will reduce the number of routes served by Malaysia Airlines, Firefly and Amal until December to address some recent “operational difficulties”.

MAG group managing director Datuk Capt Izham Ismail said the group was working closely with its aircraft and engine manufacturers, and suppliers to “comprehensively address supply chain and technical issues”.

As such, MAG would need to temporarily reduce its network to execute corrective measures where needed, he added.

Various hoteliers and tourism groups have since commended the airlines for prioritising airworthiness of their aircraft and ensuring that passenger safety is not compromised.
