GOMBAK: A 28-year-old female personal assistant to an actress was allegedly assaulted by her employer at an office in Batu Caves.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Noor Ariffin Mohamad Nasir said the woman lodged a police report about the incident at approximately 5.25pm on Wednesday (Aug 14).
"She claimed she was assaulted and threatened by her employer, a 32-year-old local actress," he stated.
Initial investigations revealed that the complainant was assaulted by her employer with a weapon and threatened by the employer and her cousin at an office in Batu Caves.
The alleged assault and threats occurred after the complainant had intervened in her employer's marital matters.
"The complainant suffered injuries to her face and wrists," he mentioned.
She received treatment at Selayang Hospital.
ACP Noor Ariffin said the case is being investigated under Section 323 and Section 506 of the Penal Code.
