Religious leader nabbed for alleged sexual assault on teenager in Puchong


SUBANG JAYA: A 27-year-old religious leader has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenager.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Wan Azlan Wan Mamat said a report was lodged regarding the assault on the 13-year-old boy on Aug 12.

The victim claimed the suspect had physically sexually harassed him between June and July this year in a bedroom located on the premises of a church in Puchong.

“On Aug 13, the suspect was arrested at a restaurant in Puchong. He will be remanded for further action,” Comm Wan Azlan said in a statement on Wednesday (Aug 14).
