Sarawak's National Day celebration to highlight patriotism and unity with "Soul of Independence" theme

SIBU: The Sarawak National Day celebration to be held here will be a showcase of patriotism and national unity.

Minister in the Premier's Department Datuk Seri John Sikie Tayai said the theme "Soul of Independence" has deep meaning as it reminds the people of the importance of fostering the spirit of independence in every aspect of life.

"Let us all, with full pride and responsibility, continue to strive to contribute to national development and maintain the harmony that we have built.

"With the unity spirit and hard work, nothing is impossible for us to achieve," he said on Thursday (August 8).
