Fifteen school kids survive bus crash with lorry in Sungai Siput


IPOH: Some 15 students emerged unscathed after their school bus collided with a lorry in Kampung Nasib in Sungai Siput.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operations) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said that the accident occurred along Jalan Sungai Siput- Kuala Kangsar at 6.38, resulting in the lorry driver sustaining injuries.

"The lorry driver was trapped on the driver's side, while the bus driver and all 15 school students did not suffer any injuries.

"The rescue team carried out rescue work and removed the trapped victim handed over to the ambulance for further action," he said in a statement on Monday (July 29).
