Zafrul tells Umno members to avoid bickering

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno members should prioritise party unity and avoid attacking each other, says its supreme council member Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

Tengku Zafrul, who is also the Investment, Trade and Industry Minister, said that if criticism is necessary, it should be done properly through the provided platforms.

“If you want to criticise, make sure it is constructive and not destructive.

“It is time to strengthen Umno because the people are evaluating us,” he said in a post uploaded on his social media account.

Tengku Zafrul, reported Bernama, addressed this matter in his speech when opening the Lembah Pantai Umno Wanita, Youth and Puteri division delegates meeting here yesterday.

In the post, Tengku Zafrul also described his attendance at the meeting as a homecoming because the Lembah Pantai Umno division was where he first got involved in politics after registering as a member in 1998.

“Although I am now the Kota Raja Umno division chief in Selangor, Lembah Pantai Umno still holds a special place in my heart,” he said.
