No rift in Negri Sembilan PKR, says MB

SEREMBAN: There is no rift in the Negri Sembilan PKR, says Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.

The state PKR chief and Mentri Besar said he was unaware if there were party members unhappy with his leadership.

"From what I know, all divisions are happy with me and all except one (division head) attended the recent state liaison committee meeting.

"The absence of one leader does not, in any way, mean the division is unhappy with my leadership," he told reporters after chairing the state exco meeting at Wisma Negri on Wednesday (July 10).

Aminuddin was asked to respond to a clip that has gone viral on social media platform TikTok, alleging a rift in the state PKR.

It claimed that some members were unhappy with the state leadership as they had been making decisions that were not in line with the party's struggles.

Some state leaders were also said to be on different wavelengths with the central leadership.

Aminuddin also said he had not seen any such clip and asked the reporters present to share it with him.

"It may be an old story, I don't know," he added.

However, Aminuddin said such a situation was normal in any political party.

"When the time comes for me to vacate my position, I will go gracefully.

"As politicians, we have to accept this fact.

"Till then, we will have to face whatever that comes our way," he said.

Of the 36 assemblymen in the state assembly, five are from PKR.
