Motorcyclist found dead with oil palm harvester pierced in body in Perak


IPOH: A motorcyclist was found dead inside a ditch with an oil palm harvester pierced through the back of his body at Kampung Matang Gerdu in Bagan Serai.

Kerian OCPD Supt Juna Yusoff said the incident occurred at about 6.58pm on Wednesday (July 3).

He said the motorcyclist had lost control of his bike and fell into the drain, which caused the harvester to be flung out and pierce through the victim’s body.

“The victim was found by two people inside the drain covered with blood, and unconscious.

“Medics that arrived at the scene in an ambulance confirmed that the victim had died,” he said in a statement on Thursday (July 4).

Juna said the victim’s body had been sent to the forensic department of the Parit Buntar hospital, and the post-mortem concluded that the cause of death was due to ‘’Fatal Penetrating Abdominal Injury”.

Supt Jana said the case has been classified as sudden death. Those with information related to the incident are requested to come forward to give details to the investigating officer Insp Muhammad Fazri Abdul Aziz at 05-7212222 or 013-7111923.

“All road users are advised to be careful when on the road, and they must follow all traffic rules,” he added.
