Drugs, luxury watches, cash, car seized from foreign couple arrested in Nilai for suspected drug-related activities


SEREMBAN: Police have seized two Rolex watches worth some RM190,000 from a foreign couple believed to be involved in illicit drug-related activities here.

Nilai police chief Supt Abdul Malik Hasim said apart from the watches, his men also seized some 795gm of ketamine worth more than RM83,000 from the suspects during an operation at their unit at Star Valley in Nilai.

He said the suspects aged 31 and 25 were detained during an operation on June 26.

"Urine tests carried out on the couple, believed to be lovers, came back positive for ketamine abuse.

"They will remain in remand till July 4," he said in a statement.

Supt Abdul Malik said his men also seized RM80,000, an estimated RM26,000 equivalent in Chinese currency (yuan) and a car worth some RM40,000 from the duo.

The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and Section 15(1) of the same law.
