A MAN bashed his father’s head with a rock for refusing to give him a beedi (Indian mini cigar), Malaysia Nanban reported.
Police found out about the assault when neighbours reported a man found dead near his home in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
During the investigation, suspicion fell on the victim’s son named Arun who is said to be having mental health issues.
Arun told police later during questioning that he had asked his father for a beedi.
When his request was denied, Arun apparently became enraged.
He picked up a rock nearby and smashed it on his father’s head, killing him instantly.
The accused has since been arrested.
