Marine cops foil smuggling attempt

KOTA KINABALU: Marine police in Sabah’s northern Kudat district have thwarted an attempt to smuggle controlled goods out of the country, apprehending one foreigner although two other suspects escaped.

Marine police were patrolling the seas off Tanjung Meniagit Banggi under Ops Gelora on Monday when they spotted a boat with three men acting suspiciously.
