Vehicle ferrying 13 Orang Asli students suffers brake failure, overturns

KOTA BARU: A four-wheel drive vehicle carrying 13 orang asli students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Panggung Jaya suffered brake failure and went out of control before crashing and landing upside-down in Bukit Setol on Friday (June 14).

The Orang Asli Development Department corporate communications unit said that all students involved in the accident sustained minor injuries.

"Quick reaction by the students who jumped out of the vehicle before it overturned saved them from serious injury.

"All students received medical treatment at the Kuala Betis Health Clinic," the department said in a statement on Saturday (June 15). – Bernama
