When the cows come to the Chief Minister's home

MELAKA: Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh received 61 cattle intended for distribution to locals across the state for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration.

The sacrificial cows, worth RM366,000, were delivered to the Melaka Chief Minister's official residence of Seri Bendahara in Ayer Keroh here on Thursday (June 13).

Ab Rauf said the livestock were provided by several state government agencies and departments and would be distributed to non-governmental organisations, mosques and suraus in 28 state constituencies, starting from June 16.

He said the upcoming Aidiladha is one of the most important events in the Islamic calendar.

To ensure smooth distribution to the grassroots and the needy, Ab Rauf handed over the cattle to ten state executive councillors who were present at his residence.
