56-year-old suspected of killing wife remanded seven days in Ipoh


IPOH: The 56-year-old man suspected of killing his wife in a house at Kampung Simee here has been remanded for seven days.

The order to remand the man was given by Magistrate Farah Nabihah Muhammad Dan at a Magistrate's Court here on Thursday (June 13).

The man will be remanded from Thursday until next Wednesday (June 19).

It was reported that a 48-year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her house at Laluan Simee 11, Kampung Simee here on Wednesday (June 12).

Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad had said the victim was found with three stab wounds to her chest and an injury to her head.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
