KLUANG: Integrity Schools and Henry Gurney Schools have achieved a 100% pass rate in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination for the second year running.

Education Ministry director-general Azman Adnan said there were 10 Integrity Schools and Henry Gurney Schools under the Prisons Department nationwide.

"A total of 74 candidates from Integrity Schools and Henry Gurney Schools sat for the 2023 SPM examination and I am very pleased to say that all have qualified for SPM certificates.

"In fact, four students obtained straight As," he said after officiating the SPM excellence award ceremony of Integrity Schools and Henry Gurney Schools in Kluang Prison here on Monday (June 10).

"It is the focus of the ministry to make sure that all children, no matter where they are, are able to get access to education.

"Through the cooperation from the ministry and department, it is proven that students coming from both Integrity Schools and Henry Gurney Schools are able to get good results similar to students at other education institutions," he said.
