Thousands of job opportunities on the table

MELAKA: A total of 3,526 job vacancies in various sectors was offered at the two-day MyFutureJobs Career Carnival that ends today.

Held at Dataran Pahlawan here in conjunction with the national level National Youth Day (HBN) 2024, the carnival was officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim yesterday.

Melaka Social Security Organisation (Socso) director Abd Razak Omar said the job opportunities came from 12 employers including Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd, Xinyi Solar (M) Sdn Bhd, Oriental Food Industries Sdn Bhd, Ansel NP Sdn Bhd, and CTRM Aero Composites Sdn Bhd.

The interview sessions took place from 9am to 5pm yesterday, and continues today, and people have been encouraged to grab the job opportunities on offer.

“The MyFutureJobs Career Carnival is one of the efforts to bring job opportunities directly to the people and increase the employability of job seekers to overcome the problem of unemployment, not only in Melaka but also in this country,” he told Bernama yesterday.

He said job seekers are advised to dress neatly and appropriately for the interview session and attend at the appointed time.
