SIX pupils from Malaysia received commendation awards during the 143rd birthday celebration of Indian poet and independence activist Mahakavi Subramania Bharati, Makkal Osai reported.
Prishvina Jeyaraja, 12, and her brother Seshvin, 9, both from SJK (T) Castlefield in Puchong, Selangor, received awards at the event held in Tamil Nadu, India.
Klang’s SJK (T) Simpang Lima pupil Arish Sharma Alagendra, 10, along with his sister and the school’s former pupil, Harsavarthini Alagendra, also received awards at the event.
Sharvesvaran Yogesvaram, 12, from SJK (T) Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur, and Kirthika Ramalingam from SMK Raja Mahadi, Klang, rounded out the group of awardees.
