Kelantan govt to cooperate fully with MACC on tube well case

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan government will give its full cooperation to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in the probe of alleged corruption and misappropriation involving the construction of tube wells that failed to function.

Deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Mohamed Fadzli Hassan said the state government would not interfere with the investigation.

"I am leaving this case to the MACC to investigate as fairly as possible.

"The Kelantan government also advises the public not to speculate about the case," he said on Thursday (May 16).

On Wednesday (May 15), the MACC arrested four people, including two former senior officials of a water company in Kelantan, to assist in the investigation into the construction of tube wells that failed to supply water to residents.

The men, aged from their 40s to 60s, were arrested separately here between 7am and 10am. – Bernama
