Veggie seller survives ‘samurai’ attack


KOTA KINABALU: A vegetable seller in Sabah’s southwestern Papar district sustained serious injuries after a robber slashed him with a samurai sword while he was attempting to protect his fiancee.

Papar police chief Supt Kamaruddin Ambo Sakka said the 27-year-old man was returning after delivering vegetable supplies with his fiancee here before stopping by for a meal at a restaurant at 1.30am on May 1.
