NGO, grassroots' views to be submitted to Johor govt for future development, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: Views and feedback on local issues from non-governmental organisations will be submitted to the Johor state government for its future development planning, says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The MCA president said the Johor MCA state liaison committee had been tasked to gather grassroots feedback following an April 15 meeting with Johor Mentri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.

The party will present the broad-based findings from the NGOs to Onn Hafiz at the Johor Barisan Nasional Convention to be held in June, he added.

“We would like to express gratitude to him for always upholding the Barisan spirit to work closely with component party members in the district councils and the new village committees,” Dr Wee said in a Facebook post on Wednesday (May 1).

Earlier on Wednesday, Dr Wee chaired the fourth meeting of the state liaison committee for 2024 to discuss state matters including preparing for the next state election.

“We also discussed the training for all committee members so that they are well prepared to carry out their roles.

“I also urged our leaders and members to be well-equipped and give our very best for the next state election,” he said.
