Policeman charged with accepting bribe to smuggle tobacco to detainee in Kuala T'ganu


KUALA TERENGGANU: A policeman with the rank of Corporal was charged in the Sessions Court here Monday (April 29) with two counts of accepting bribes in return for smuggling in a prohibited item to a lock-up detainee three years ago.

The accused, Muhamad Alif Abdul Jamal, 33, however, pleaded not guilty after the charges were read before Judge Mohd Azhar Othman.
