Human skeletal remains found at Gemas oil palm plantation


TAMPIN: Police have found human skeletal remains at an oil palm plantation in Felda Sg Kelamah in Gemas near here.

Tampin police chief Supt Amiruddien Sariman said police also found a blue Yamaha LC135 near the remains.

"We found the lower half of the human remains in a ditch near the motorcycle. The skull was found some 80m away from the bike," he said adding that police also found a helmet and belt near the remains.

He said the remains were sent to the Tampin Hospital for a post-mortem and DNA tests.

"For now, the case has been classified as sudden death. However, investigations are underway to establish the possible cause of death," he said.
