Footage of the incident shows a man loudly reprimanding his pooch by the side of the road.

A boy wearing a yellow jacket can be seen walking in between the man and the pup before kneeling down facing the man.

It is as if the child was apologising on behalf of the canine and was seeking the man’s forgiveness. His action immediately defused the situation with the man bursting out in laughter.

The video went viral online and was viewed by more than 2.4 million people.

Many netizens praised the boy for having compassion for animals. “He is such a heroic brother,” one Internet user wrote.

“Do you have a friend who is very loud at wedding receptions, eats and drinks a lot as if she is afraid that others do not know that she is a leader at a company selling supplements.
