Man sentenced to two months in prison for stealing women's underwear


SIBU: A 37-year-old man has been sentenced to two months in prison by the Magistrate's Court after he pleaded guilty to stealing women's underwear.

The accused Gani Pau was charged on Wednesday (April 24) under Section 379 of the Penal Code.

He was said to have stolen his neighbour’s underwear at an apartment in Sibu Jaya on April 18. His crime was caught on CCTV.

The police, acting on a report made by the complainant, arrested the accused the next day

The police also confiscated two pieces of underwear from the accused.

Magistrate Romario Jonoi ordered the accused to serve a prison sentence from the date he was arrested, which was April 19.
