Kajang cops probe claims little girl was hurt by other kids

KAJANG: Police are investigating allegations that a child here was injured by the neighbours' children.

The girl's caregiver lodged a police report on April 11 after a post of the injured child appeared on X, Kajang deputy OCPD Supt Mohamad Nasir Drahman said in a statement on Friday (April 19).

The post reportedly showed the eight-year-old girl with serious leg injuries.

"Investigations led us to believe that the girl was hurt by other children who are neighbours," he said, adding that the incident was believed to have occurred on April 9.

He added that four or five suspects, aged six to eight years, will have their statements recorded.

"For the time being there (are no signs of the) involvement of a 12-year-old, which was claimed earlier," Supt Nasir added.
