FOOD vendors were swarmed by customers as soon as they started operating after a long holiday coinciding with last week’s Raya celebrations, reported Kosmo!

The vendors interviewed sell a range of lunch and breakfast items but reached a point where food quickly ran out and they could not meet demand.

A food vendor in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, identified as Azmi Ramli, 46, said customers had begun lining up since early morning to buy his nasi lemak, even before his shop opened.

“Some customers even texted and called to ask when the stall would reopen because they missed it while eating Raya food all week,” he added.

His best-selling items were nasi lemak with fried chicken and nasi lemak with beef lungs, which only cost RM6 and RM5 respectively.

Another food vendor, Roslinah Umar Ali, 57, is happy to see customers’ response to her food stand, which only re-opened yesterday.

“For the time being, business is running nicely, but we are still moving slowly,” she added.

> Rock band Azlan & The Typewriter were thrilled after their single Jangan Khianati Aku went viral in Indonesia after being sung by Kris Tomahu, a participant on the reality show X Factor Indonesia, reported Berita Harian.

Frontman Nor Azlan Rosle Sallehudin said he was overjoyed when he learned the song was becoming popular in Indonesia, and that Kris’ rendition of the song had received over four million views on YouTube.

“I plan to invite Kris to perform together in Malaysia before I perform in Indonesia at an appropriate time later,” he added.

Meanwhile, influencers impersonating Azlan’s voice and singing on TikTok piqued the singer’s attention.

“I believe this is common and entertaining.

“We want to delight the audience by incorporating humour and comedy into our everyday lives.

“They typically seek to entertain social media users so that they may get a large number of followers and ‘likes’ from them,” he added.
