Dr Wee hosts dinner for representatives from 60 educational institutions from around the world

PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong hosted a dinner for 60 representatives of education institutions in China, Australia, Japan, Singapore, the Philippines, and Malaysia.

“Every year, about 380,000 students take the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations, 43,000 students sit for Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) and 11,000 candidates take the Unified Examination Certificate (UEC).

“After they have completed their studies, where will they further their studies? An education fair is one place for students and parents to explore their options,” wrote the MCA president in a Facebook post on Wednesday (April 17).

The representatives were in Malaysia to participate in the 2024 Leam International Higher Education Fair.

The Ayer Hitam MP also shared photos from the dinner event.

He said the Education Fair, organised by Life Education Academy Malaysia and co-organised by Majlis Pengetua-Pengetua Sekolah-sekolah Menengah Conforming Malaysia (MPSMCM), was being held in Kuala Lumpur and Penang, respectively.
