POPULAR songstress Datuk Wan Aishah Wan Ariffin (pic) literally took to the streets to entertain those stuck in traffic during the Hari Raya celebrations, causing a stir on social media.

Clad in a baju kurung with a floral pattern, the Gegar Vaganza Season 4 winner entertained road users with her famous Hari Raya song, Pulanglah, Gempak reported.

The singer, popularly known simply as Aishah, herself posted a video on her TikTok account showing her singing in front of her residence in Palong 7, Negri Sembilan.

“I have never seen a famous singer singing in front of her home just to entertain road users,” said one social media user who commented on Aishah’s post.

Another netizen expressed appreciation for Aishah’s candid manner and said: “It’s not easy to see the owner of the song entertaining us for free.

“It’s such a privilege to see a legend singing her Raya song for road users.”

Aishah’s performance in front of her house was also witnessed by her family members and passers-by.

Despite only relying on a simple karaoke machine to deliver her performance, the Janji Manismu singer still managed to attract the attention of those around her.

“The traffic will probably get worse now that Aishah is giving us a free concert,” quipped another commenter.

> Stop watching films and shows illegally through the Telegram messaging application as it will kill the local creative scene, producer Jaja Ishak said.

Jaja, of Kembara Sufi Production Sdn Bhd, said such an action is no different from piracy, which could cripple the entertainment industry.

“Such a thing affects everyone in the industry, not just one or two people.

“It’s such an irresponsible act, to take other people’s hard work without permission,” he said, Berita Harian reported.

To prevent the entertainment industry from dying, Jaja said it is important for authorities such as the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission to take immediate and firm action.
