Cops to record statements of three over suitcase containing RM500,000


PETALING JAYA: Police will be recording statements of three individuals over the suitcase containing over RM500,000 found in the car park of a shopping mall in Damansara on March 19.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the three were friends of the company director who previously laid claim to the money.

"We expect these three individuals to come forward soon and will have their statements recorded at the Petaling Jaya police headquarters," he said when contacted on Saturday (April 13).

The police have recorded the statement of a man who left the suitcase in the car park who was identified from closed circuit camera (CCTV) footage of the area.

Comm Hussein had said that the individual concerned is the same company director who claimed ownership of the money before.
