MetMalaysia issues thunderstorm warning for most states

KUALA LUMPUR: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for most of the country.

According to MetMalaysia, 11 states will see thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds until 7pm on Wednesday (April 10).

Among the affected areas are Melaka, Johor and Kedah (Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baru).

The other states are:

Penang: the northern, southern and central region of Seberang Perai);

Perak: Kerian, Larut, Matang, Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim;

Kelantan: Jeli and Gua Musang;

Pahang: Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Jerantut;

Selangor: Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat and Sepang;

Negri Sembilan: Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin;

Sarawak: Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Miri, Beluru, Telang Usan, Miri, Marudi and Limbang; and

Sabah: Lahad Datu in Tawau and Kinabatangan in Sandakan.
