PRINCE Philip Park, sited on Sabah’s iconic Tanjung Aru beach in Kota Kinabalu, will be colourfully lit for the next two months.

Thanks to the Eternal Wonderland Exhibition organised by Tawau-based Aurora Berjaya Enterprise, the spectacular LED light show will add life to this usually quiet spot.

Opening its doors to the public daily from now until June 3, 6pm to 11pm, the exhibition promises visitors a one-of-a-kind experience in the serene locale.

According to Aurora Berjaya co-owner Jack Wong, Prince Philip Park was chosen because it is strategically located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu and its status as a popular spot for sunset viewing.

“We hope to offer visitors something different, almost magical, to enjoy their evenings.

“A similar event was held in Tawau and the response was overwhelming. We are looking forward to similar feedback here,” said Wong.

Meanwhile, as the official venue provider, Tanjung Aru Eco Development Sdn Bhd (TAEDSB) general manager Datuk Jake Jikulin Nointin said the effort to help promote Prince Philip Park and Tanjung Aru is very much welcomed.

“These spaces hold significant value for the community, being the largest accessible open areas within the city.

“TAEDSB’s main priority currently is to upgrade Prince Philip Park so that it can be best enjoyed by everyone. We are happy to have events like the Eternal Wonderland that can bring people together and enhance their experience here,” said Nointin.

He added that both the Prince Philip Park and Tanjung Aru Beach hold a special charm for Sabahans, particularly urban residents, evoking cherished memories.

Visitors can gain entry for a nominal fee of RM8 for adults and RM6 for children aged 12 and below.
