Woman’s bike collision with cow proves fatal

A WOMAN died after crashing into a cow while riding a motorcycle in Kuala Krai, Kosmo! Ahad reported.Norsyamimi Mayedin, 35, was on the way to Hospital Sultan Ismail Petra for work from her home where she crashed into the animal on KM80 along Jalan Gua Musang-Kota Baru on March 29.

According to Kuala Krai OCPD Supt Mazlan Mamat, the accident occurred as the cow was crossing the road and the crash caused fatal injuries to her head and body areas.

He added that there had been 23 cases involving reared animals since January, with 20 of them resulting in damaged vehicles.

Two led to injuries while another resulted in death.

Around 135 tents from the bazaar there had been damaged and blown away, leading to damage costing a few hundred thousand ringgit.

Another 30 were also damaged at the Pekan Rabu complex parking lot.

Langkawi Municipal Council president Tunku Iskandar Shah Tunku Muszaffar Shah confirmed the incident, adding that preliminary aid will be given out to those affected.
