Motorcyclist killed in Johor road collision


PASIR GUDANG: A 62-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle was run over by a multi-purpose vehicle at KM12.7 of Jalan Permas-Pasir Gudang here.

Seri Alam OCPD Supt Mohd Sohaimi Ishak said the incident occurred at 6.45am on Saturday (March 30) when the vehicle's driver was driving towards Pasir Gudang from Setia Tropika.

“The car was driven by a 41-year-old man who had accidentally hit a motorcycle in the left lane of the road.

“The crash caused the victim to suffer a serious injury to the head and he was pronounced dead at the location,” he said in a statement.

The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act of 1987.
