The operation, conducted between midnight and 7am, focused mainly on highways, industrial areas, and major roads.

In a statement on Friday (March 29), JPJ said the operation also targeted overloaded commercial vehicles, as well as non-compliance with the Road Transport Act 1987 and the Land Public Transport Act 2010.

"Action was also taken against 13 vehicles.

"Among the offences (aside from overloading) were driving without a Goods Vehicle Driving Licence (GDL), excessively worn tyres, installing strobe lights without permission, excessive tinting and illegal vehicle modification,” the statement read.
