A GROUP of cattle farmers in Sungai Siput staged a protest, demanding the release of their cows reportedly captured by the Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council, reported by Makkal Osai.
According to some farmers who spoke to Malaysia Nanban, the cows were rounded up by the council while grazing on land owned by a plantation company in Kamuning.
The predominantly Indian farmers expressed frustration, alleging that the council seemed to be prioritising the interests of the large corporation that owns the plantations over assisting small cattle farmers.
The farmers urged the council to release their cows and hold dialogues with them to resolve the matter.
