‘Delima better than 1BestariNet’

THE Digital Educational Learning Initiative Malaysia (Delima) is more comprehensive than 1BestariNet, says Deputy Education Minister Wong Kah Woh.

“When I joined the Education Ministry last December, I used Delima to see how this platform works,” he told Dewan Rakyat during the oral question and answer session yesterday.

“What I saw was that the platform developed by the ministry in-house is complete with the necessary information, and is successful compared to another project which is the 1BestariNet which began in 2011.

“When Covid-19 hit our country and the movement control order (MCO) affected our education system, the 1BestariNet was not helpful,” he added.

Wong said 42% students were using the Delima platform as of last year, adding that the ministry had been encouraging more students to use the platform.

Throughout 2023, there were reportedly 2.1 million students who were active users of Delima.
