Fahmi conveys condolences to family of RTM veteran Abdullah Hakim


KUALA LUMPUR: Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil extends his condolences to the family of Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) veteran Abdullah Hakim, who passed away Sunday (March 24) morning.

In a post on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), Fahmi said Abdullah had joined Radio Malaya on April 1, 1958 as an announcer in its Malay Section.

"The late Abdullah, among other things, also served as a television newscaster in 1972 when it started broadcasting from its studio in Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur.

"May Allah bless his soul and place him among the faithful. Al-Fatihah,” he said. - Bernama
