"Investigation revealed that a 31-year-old man was being beaten by four men aged between 19 and 31 using helmets.

"The fight occurred after a miscommunication between the group when riding their motorcycle on the road.

"Two of the suspects also suffered injuries to the right eye and head," he said in a statement here on Saturday (March 23).

The five men were arrested at 12.35am on Saturday and confiscated two helmets, three red T-shirts and a jacket, he added.

"A background check revealed that one of the suspects has priors under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing harm.

"All of them have also tested negative for drugs and alcohol," he said, adding that the police were still on the hunt for one more suspect in his 30s to help with the investigation.

All of the suspects were currently under remand from March 23 until March 26.
