IPOH: Perak’s longest Ramadan bazaar, spanning half a kilometre in Meru Raya, boasts 100 traders offering a diverse array of delicacies
Named the Sultan Azlan Shah Roundabout (BSAS) Ramadan bazaar, it features popular dishes such as nasi vanggey, royal popiah Kuala Kangsar and bihun sup Kedah.
Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk) deputy chief executive officer (Corporate Relations) Nurdita Fadzlinda Ahmad Rasidi said the initiative aligns with the state government’s Perak Sejahtera 2030 vision to support small and medium entrepreneurs.
“Last year, PKNPk appointed an event management company to handle the Ramadan bazaar, which successfully attracted 50,000 visitors. This year’s bazaar is fully organised by PKNPk through our Assets and Administration Division.
“PKNPk has made several improvements to the facilities to ensure the comfort of visitors. We also ensure that food hygiene is prioritised, and careful attention is given to the selection of traders to ensure diversity and quality of food,” she said in a statement yesterday as reported by Bernama.
Nurdita Fadzlinda said PKNPk provided larger spaces for traders with rental rates ranging from RM1,500 to RM2,500.
The bazaar, operating daily from 3pm to 11pm until April 9, provides larger spaces for traders and improved facilities, including wider walkways and ample parking.
