Developer agrees to use alternate road in Taman Perdana, says Dr Wee

PETALING JAYA: The developer of the Taman Perdana housing project in Yong Peng, Johor, has agreed to use an alternate road following a dialogue on Sunday (March 17), says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

The Ayer Hitam MP said the dialogue was a follow-up after he met with local residents, who had raised issues of safety hazards at the construction site on Friday (March 15).

"The developer has decided on the alternate road (which is rarely used by residents) for large lorries to enter and exit the construction site," the MCA president said in a Facebook post Sunday (March 17).

He thanked the Yong Peng district council president Nur Faiz Jamil and all parties involved for giving their full cooperation and successfully solving the problem.

"I am glad with better understanding and communication, we could ensure continued development as well as the safety of the residents," Dr Wee added.

Also present in the dialogue session were Johor exco member and Yong Peng assemblyman Ling Tian Soon, Yong Peng district council members, Public Works Department officials, representatives of residents' association, developers and contractors of Taman Perdana.
