Cops raid 11 places in KL, arrest 47 in anti-vice operation


KUALA LUMPUR: Police here raided 11 places here in an anti-vice operation on Saturday (March 16) night.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya said in a statement on Sunday (March 17) that 47 people aged between 18 and 60 were arrested, and 25 of them were foreign women.

Various items were seized in the raids that lasted around eight hours, including five condoms, seven flyers advertising massage services and RM4,730 in cash.

Among the locations raided were two food courts.

"Their modus operandi included the use of 'flower necklaces' where the customer will pay a set price and leave with foreign women for the purpose of sexual services," he said.

He urged the public to come forward to share information should they have any knowledge of such activities.
