PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong was a witness to the oath-taking ceremony of the 8th Malaysian Merchant Sports and Recreation Club committee led by Datuk Seri Leong Kok Chai.

The MCA president attended the ceremony together with Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and Huazong president Tan Sri Goh Tian Chuan on Saturday (March 9).

"Well done and congratulations to the Saudagar Malaysia Sports and Recreation Club for celebrating its 17th anniversary.

"Our country is facing fierce challenges, especially the uncertain economic situation. Therefore, it is our responsibility as Malaysians to work together to focus on developing the country's economy. Any trivial matters that will affect racial harmony should be put aside," said Dr Wee.
