Four houses destroyed in Inanam village fire


KOTA KINABALU: Four houses went ablaze at a village in Inanam here on Friday (March 1).

However, no casualties were reported.

The Fire and Rescue Department received an emergency call at 2.57pm alerting them to the incident on Jalan Kionsom in Kampung Dambai.

A team from the Lintas fire station was sent to the location assisted by a team from Kota Kinabalu.

"Three houses were completely burnt down and another was 50% damaged.

"Also on location were police, Rela members and Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) personnel.

"The blaze was brought under control at 3.44pm and the operation ended at 4.35pm," said a fire department spokesman.
