Cockfighting bust nets cash


KOTA KINABALU: Six roosters were seized from what was believed to be a cockfighting pit in Tawau district.

Also confiscated were RM1,200 in cash, said to be gambling money, while nine individuals between the ages of 20 and 50, including two women, were apprehended.

Tawau OCPD Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin said these seizures and arrests were made during a raid at about 5pm in Batu 5, Jalan Apas on Feb 11.

He said that those arrested were four locals while the remaining five were foreigners.
