Cops identify woman who drowned in Ampang lake


AMPANG: The woman whose naked body was found in Tasik Pandan Lake View in Pandan Perdana has been identified as a 53-year-old local.

Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Azam Ismail said a post-mortem was conducted at Hospital Ampang.

"The cause of death was drowning," he said when contacted on Monday (Feb 12).

On Sunday (Feb 11), police received a report from the public that a woman who was not wearing any clothes had entered the lake at 8.13am.

Her body was recovered some two hours after she was seen.

Police did not find any identification documents at the scene.
