Missing social media influencer found at hospital


MELAKA: A 29-year-old social media influencer, who was reported missing since early Friday, has been found.Melaka Tengah OCPD Asst Comm Christopher Patit said that Yew Boon Xiang, who is better known as “Boss Mario”, had gone to an unoccupied house here to de-stress.

“He switched off his mobile phone while staying there,” he said yesterday.

Yew is also a businessman.

ACP Christopher said Yew’s brother located him at a private hospital here at 2.15pm yesterday.

He said Yew had gone to the hospital to seek help in dealing with stress, adding that he had taken an ehailing ride to the hospital from the abandoned house.

Earlier, police had received a missing person report.

Yew’s brother lodged the report at the Batang Tiga police station on Friday when his sibling did not answer his phone calls.

Surveillance camera footage showed Yew leaving his house in a car at 3am on Friday.
