Teen on motorcycle crashed into cow in Kota Tinggi, both killed


KOTA TINGGI: A teenager was killed after crashing into a cow while riding his motorcycle at KM11.5 of the Sungai Sayong–Bandar Tenggara road.

Kota Tinggi OCPD Supt Hussin Zamora said the 19-year-old man died at the scene after succumbing to serious injuries following the incident on Thursday night (Feb 1).

“We received information about an accident between a motorcycle and a cow at about 10.10pm on Thursday.

“The collision led to the death of the motorcyclist who suffered from serious injuries on his head and body,” he said in a statement on Friday (Feb 2).

The buffalo was also killed in the incident.

Supt Hussin said that the victim’s body had been sent to the Kota Tinggi Hospital’s forensic unit for further investigation.

“We urge the public to be wary of such incidents and to always adhere to road rules and regulations,” he said.

He said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.
