Dr Wee celebrates with Kedah MCA, shares issues to be raised in Parliament


PETALING JAYA: In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, the MCA president spent time with the Kedah MCA leaders in Sungai Petani.

“In my brief speech, I shared with them the issues that I will raise in the next Parliament session, which will commence on Feb 26,” wrote Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong in a Facebook post on Thursday (Feb 1)

He added that “the increase in water tariffs and tax rates, as well as the introduction of new taxes, will certainly affect the people, especially the B40 and M40 groups. Therefore, the Government must seriously look into these issues”.

Present at the dinner reception were Kedah MCA Chairman Chua Tiong Ghee; Deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon; Secretary-General Datuk Chong Sin Woon and Vice-presidents Datuk Lim Ban Hong, Datuk Lawrence Low and Datuk Tan Teik Cheng;

Organising Secretary Leaw Kok Chan, Perlis MCA Chairman Chuah Tian Hee, Kedah MCA Deputy Chairman Tan Yen Seong, Kedah MCA Secretary Lo Thiang Chooi, and former Perlis Exco Teh Chai Aan were also present.
