Boy among two killed during bull run in India


A 13-YEAR-old boy was one of two people killed during a bull run in Tamil Nadu, India. Malaysia Nanban reported that the teenager, identified as L. Bhaskaran, and a 32-year-old-man named M. Muthumani were among the spectators at the event in Sivagangai city on Wednesday.

They were reportedly gored outside the bull run arena.

Both of them died on the spot.

It was unclear how the bull got out of the arena.

Another 75 participants suffered injuries during the Sivagangai event.

The Tamil Nadu state government had announced a compensation of 300,000 rupees (RM17,000) to the families of both victims.

Chief Minister MK Stalin, who conveyed his condolences to the families, said the compensation would be paid out from a special public relief fund.
