Spooky midnight knocking now haunts residents up north in Perlis

THE mysterious knocking that spooked residents in several areas in Pahang, Selangor and Negri Sembilan has now spread to Perlis.

The latest incidents, which have gone viral, happened in Chuping and Arau, reported Kosmo!.Fatin Adilla Rosli, 31, from Kampung Baru Lubuk Machang in Chuping, said she heard knocking on her window at about 2.30am last Friday.

“I was resting with my mother in the hall after coming home and suddenly heard two knocks on the room’s window.

“It was scary and I just ignored it,” she said, adding that it stopped after two minutes.

Another resident, Mohammad Zalghafari Mohd Zainuddin, 25, said he checked after hearing knocks on his window at about 2.45am.

“I was worried if there was a thief, so I pulled the curtain to check but did not see anyone.

“I also went outside to check but there was nobody,” he said.

Other villagers also posted updates in their community chat group that about 30 houses experienced the mysterious knocking between 2am and 4am on the same day.

The villagers and nearby residents also asked for a stronger police presence to patrol the areas.

> The daily also reported that celebrity chef Datuk Redzuawan Ismail, or Chef Wan, has refuted claims that a worker from his restaurant was mistreated.

He clarified that he is not in control of the management or human resources of the Chef Wan Group of Restaurants (CWGR).

He said his responsibility is limited to handling recipes and maintaining food quality.

After checking with the management, he said some employees were terminated or had their salaries deducted due to poor performance, lack of discipline or dishonesty towards the company.

He said he tried to understand the matter from both sides and decided to speak out to protect his reputation.

Previously, a social media post about a worker at De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan claiming RM1,000 was deducted from his salary went viral.

CWGR’s management said the claim is untrue and warned of potential legal action.
